The USS Robert G. Bradley (FFG 49) was decommissioned on March 28, 2014, after nearly 30 years of service, during a ceremony at Naval Station Mayport, Florida.
She was named for Lt. Robert G. Bradley who died in 1944 at the age of 23, trying to rescue his men from a fire that erupted on board the USS Princeton (CVL-23) after a Japanese attack.
