The USS Mcinerney was named for Vice Admiral Francis X. McInerney (1899–1956). She was decommissioned in August 2010, whereupon she underwent a major overhaul and transferred to the Pakistani Navy. She was renamed PNS Alamgir (F260).

Marine artist and 20 year veteran Adam Koltz  has served aboard several classes of navy ships and merchant vessels. Adam's attention to detail stems from his intimate knowledge of ships and his passion for accuracy. His understanding of the interaction of ships with the natural forces of wind and water gives his images life and vitality.
