Marine artist and 20 year Navy veteran Adam Koltz has served aboard several classes of ships, including merchant vessels. Adam's attention to detail stems from his intimate knowledge of ships and his passion for accuracy. His understanding of the interaction of ships with the natural forces of wind and water gives his images life and vitality. Adam uses pen and ink as well as watercolor, and depicts the vessel on a chart with historical or current significance.
